1st August '17 Tuesday - Scaup

Clouding over after a bright start, but dry until the evening.  All the photographers were at Chew today.

News from nearby: Somerset Wildlife Trust announced today that a pair of Night Herons bred for the first time in the UK at their Westhay Moor NNR, successfully fledging two juveniles which have recently been seen in flight.

"House Martins still very active at the 'houses of 21 nests' at Frampton End this morning.  Also in same square towards Iron Acton a Yellowhammer was in full song.  Two Swifts dashed into my airspace at Coalpit Heath in ST6781 early evening."
