Coombe Dingle:
1 Blackcap singing in the Dingle
Great Spotted Woodpecker, Coal Tit +  Blue, Great, Long-tailed Tit, Robin, 2 Bullfinch in the garden

Percival Road, Clifton: 
1 Marsh Tit on feeder all afternoon, not seen since April. Also 1 Nuthatch.

Canada Goose, Mallard, Shelduck, Black-tailed Godwit, Dunlin, Curlew, Redshank, Oystercatcher, Turnstone, Lapwing, Black-headed Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Herring Gull, Starling,House Sparrow, Pied Wagtail, Linnet.

Chipping Sodbury Common:

Redstart - Chipping Sodbury Common (Mark Coller)
4 Raven, 14 Whitethroat, 4 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Whinchat, 6 Redstart.
NORTH SOMERSET:

Portbury Wharf:
6 Little Grebe, 1 Common Sandpiper, several Sand Martin, 4 juv Reed Warbler, 4 Bullfinch

Portishead:
Boating Lake: 22 Canada Goose, 3 ad. Mute Swan with 2 juveniles, 50 Mallard, 2 ad. Moorhen with 1 juvenile,35 Black-headed Gull, 16 Herring Gull.

Clevedon-Yeo:
14 Mute Swan, 20+ Shelduck adults/imms plus brood of 6 about three weeks old not seen by observer before, 2 Teal, 60 Mallard, 1 imm m Long-tailed Duck (!) in mouth of Yeo, quite wary, 18 Little Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Kestrel, 32 Oystercatcher, 6 Whimbrel, 160  Curlew, 9 Black-tailed Godwit 9, 4 Turnstone, 60 Dunlin (all but one adult), 10 Common Sandpiper, 185 Redshank, 1 Snipe, 350 Black-headed Gull, 40+ Lesser Black-backed Gull, 140 Herring Gull, 1Raven,60 Swallow, 1 juvenile Mistle Thrush (!) a bedraggled juv on the sea wall near Dowlais, 1 juvenile Wheatear,15+ Pied Wagtail,25 + Linnet 25+.
A significant number of new arrivals since observer's last visit on 20th July, but also some surprising absentees, eg no Ringed Plover seen
Shelduck: at least 95 juvs have been counted at this site this year - so a very good year, best since 1980 when 96 were noted.
Uphill:
WeBS count, with torrential rain during the second half: 7 Canada Goose, 16 Shelduck, 13 Mallard, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 31 Oystercatcher, 2 Common Sandpiper, 147 Redshank, 580 Black-headed Gull, 7 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 12 Herring Gull, 4 Swift, plenty of Swallows and a House Martin.

Litton Reservoir:
2 Tufted Duck broods, Mallard, Cormorant, Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 8 Little Grebe, 3 Great Crested Grebe +3 juvenile, Coot, Moorhen, I Kingfisher, Long-tailed Tit, Goldcrest, Grey Wagtail. Also Fox stalking a Moorhen.

Chew Valley Lake:

Dam: 2 Egyptian Goose, 1 Canada Goose JX neck band, 3 Little Egret, 1 Common Sandpiper.
