Any help with the following? (Description, time of year and location don't sound like Grasshopper Warbler to me)
10.15 today, bird heard singing in neighbours garden, Ashton. BS3. Song was grasshopper warbler ( reeling) like. Approx for 2-3 minutes, then seen with bins, non descript stripy brown plumage with barring on the tail. Sat in a bay tree then flew to a pyracantha tree then flew off. Did I see a grasshopper warbler or not? Any suggestions. Catherine Webber.
