Sightings 15/5/16

Lammergeier: Incredible news just out of a Lammergeier at Sudbrook, Gwent on 12 May. The bird was seen to fly east at one point and must have entered into Avon waters off Severnside somewhere and last reports of it were of the bird flying west again back into Wales.
Short video from the Gwent Birding website: HERE.
Presumably it is the same bird that was seen in Belgium recently.

Lammergeier like mountainous/hilly country and in view of its incredible rarity status, we've organised a specially co-ordinated Lammergeier watch around Avon to be carried out as soon as possible by the local birding groups:-
